Diversity of Thought – Neurodiversity

Overview

A program for businesses exploring neurodiversity, cognition, mental health, and all forms of change. These workshops and learning experiences are designed to help leaders demystify how people think and inspire confidence to start conversations, recruit differently, and rethink workplace practices to improve individual, team, and organisation performance.

Why do this?

  • Supporting and enhancing existing diversity and inclusion programs
  • Increased awareness of invisible differences within the current workplace will highlight a spectrum of potential problems and opportunities.
  • Actively seeking diverse thinkers opens new possibilities to recruit, engage, and develop talent.
  • During times of change and uncertainty diverse teams provide resilience and well-being
  • Engaging different minds reduces problems associated with groupthink, biases, and organizational blind spots.
  • Elevating creative thinking and innovation improves problem-solving and productivity capacities.
  • Organisations increasingly recognise the wide-ranging value diversity brings to the workplace and beyond.
  • This program aims to make invisible human differences more visible in the workplace.

Why is this important?

Because our minds and brains are involved in everything we do – perceiving, analysing, choice-making, problem solving, communicating, learning, innovating, moving, habit formation, and much more. Each process has multiple layers, and every individual will have preferences that afford both strengths and challenges depending on what, why, where, when, and how they work. Cultivating an awareness of both the negative and positive consequences of these hidden differences will have implications throughout the organisation from legal teams to Departments to the boardroom.
