What the two days cover
Five practical sessions over two days, each built around real workplace situations.
Leading and communicating
Leadership and management
Explore the differences between leadership and management, focusing on change management, innovation and building effective teams. Understand why trust and honesty between colleagues matter for strong working relationships.
Communication
Use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to see how people prefer to give and receive information. Learn how different types communicate, when to adapt to the person in front of you so they understand you quickly, and the structure behind active communication.
Managing people and workload
Conflict management
Conflict at work happens. Learn how to recognise and deal with disputes directly, in a rational, balanced and effective way, using communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Time and organisation
Prioritise and control your own goals and workload. Answer the question “What is time management?”, review how you organise your work, and learn to run effective meetings, with practical examples throughout.
Delegation
Letting go of tasks can be one of the hardest parts of managing. Learn how to structure delegation and approach it at the right time, instead of doing everything yourself.
